The Magnaflow® Universal Catalytic Converter is the same catalytic converter as their Direct Fit series at substantial savings. Unlike the Direct Fit converter, you must cut out your old converter and weld in the new. Why choose a Magnaflow® Converter? If you've invested in a performance exhaust and didn't upgrade your catalytic converter, you're simply not getting the most from your system. Magnaflow®'s ultra high flow Catalytic Converter does away with a major "choke point" common to OE and lesser built converters. And it's top quality throughout…built to exceed factory specifications. The body is ribbed to cushion the mat and hold the catalyst in alignment. Monolithic honeycomb catalyst is designed for maximum flow and surface area. 1/2" neck-to-body lap joint is the strongest and smoothest flowing inlet/outlet made. Seams are welded close to the body for a strong, tight bond. OE-style ribbed shield protects against heat and adds to structural integrity. And the factory-capped 90° air tube simplifies installation.
